Wipe down all parts of the drum before installing the drum. Such as sweat, water, beer or other liquids can shorten the life of the drum. Oil from your hands will erode the surface of the cymbal, causing it to lose its luster. When installing or disassembling drums, just wipe them with a towel, which will protect them. Check all the parts to make sure they are in good condition, replace the cymbal pads from time to time, and make sure that the screw that holds the cymbal is screwed well on the cymbal stand.
Hi-hat racks and pedals that require frequent movement should be lubricated at intervals to keep them moving well. If some springs have a harsh "squeak" sound, then replace them.
Drum skin maintenance
Keep the drum head elastic
The "lower drum head" can generally be used for a long time, but the "up drum head" will not work. If possible, it is recommended to replace the "upper head" frequently to maintain its elasticity and good feel. Frequent use of worn-out drum heads not only has no sound, but also ruins the feel of the hand.
