shape features
Guitar, also translated six-stringed piano. The top and back are flat, the waist of the piano is generally concave without corners, and the classical guitar generally has no concave. The neck is wide and long, with a nut on the fretboard and a number of narrow, slightly upwardly raised metal bars called frets, which divide the strings into semitones.
As a member of the stringed instrument family, the guitar is a stringed playing instrument that produces sound by plucking the upper strings. When playing, pluck the strings with one hand, while the fingers of the other hand rest on the fretboard, which is the metal strip that covers the neck. The resulting sound is enhanced by the guitar's soundbox.
Applicable style
The guitar is used in a variety of musical styles, and it is often seen as the main instrument in pop, rock, blues, folk, and flamenco. The guitar has also been used in classical music, with numerous solo pieces and occasional use in chamber and orchestral music. It usually has six strings, but there are also four, eight, ten and twelve strings. There are two main types of guitars: one is the acoustic guitar with a long history and amplified by a wooden resonance box; the other is the electric guitar invented in the 20th century and amplified by an electric amplifier. There are four kinds of acoustic guitars: flat guitar (also called folk guitar in China), arched guitar (also known as jazz guitar), classical guitar and flamenco guitar. Acoustic guitars are commonly used in classical, folk and pop music. Electric guitars are commonly used in rock music, blues and pop music. The invention of the electric guitar has an important influence on Western popular culture and music.
In the guitar family, the ancient classical guitar, violin and piano are listed as the three major musical instruments in the world.
